'Unleashed' Launched by Animals Australia

Young Australians who care about animals now have a national group of their own—Animals Australia Unleashed.

Here are just some of the latest features from Unleashed: Put a stop to live export for good! A new way to FUN-draise for animals! Dairy calf cruelty in Victoria. Unleashed on tour!

Animals Australia Unleashed was created in response to an obvious need. Our planet is in a state of crisis. At a time when over 50 billion animals are imprisoned in the miserable conditions of factory farms; global warming is taking an ever greater toll; and an estimated three species become extinct every hour of every day, it's clear that this world desperately needs a generation who cares about its future. By teaming up with artists and celebrities who young people most admire, Unleashed will empower young people with the knowledge that their everyday choices really can change the world!

As Kisschasy front man and Unleashed ambassador Darren Cordeux said, "Unleashed has a clear and simple message: each of us has the power to make a difference. We're working to inspire the next generation to heal the planet and make animal cruelty a thing of the past."

The first of its kind in Australia, Unleashed has already won the support of international superstars Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Anti-Flag, Less than Jake, Silverstein, José González, as well as home-grown heroes including The Veronicas and Kisschasy, with band interviews and testimonials online at unleashed.org.au
