Criminal charges have been brought against 15 people in Victoria, enabled by our ground-beaking investigations into live baiting in the Australian greyhound racing industry.

RSPCA Victoria has charged 15 people in Victoria with alleged animal cruelty, totalling 125 criminal charges.

In February this year, Animals Australia and Animal Liberation QLD investigations into live baiting in the Australian greyhound racing industry helped bring this issue to the forefront of public consciousness. The ABC Four Corners story revealing this evidence was recently recognised with Australian journalism’s highest honour, a Gold Walkley award. And only days ago, a NSW Magistrate sentenced greyhound trainers caught live baiting to prison.
