New year, new beginnings.

For these rescued animals, 2022 will be the beginning of a brand new life. One where they will finally be valued for who they are.

For every story of heartache in this world, there is a story of hope. You just need to know where to look.

Whether in the racing industry, laboratories or slaughterhouses, animals suffer in such vast numbers that it can be easy to lose sight of the individual. The horse who craves companionship. The pig who loves to play. The lamb who has lost his mum and just wants to be cuddled.

Here are eight individuals who will get a fresh start in 2022… and who will finally experience the love, kindness and freedom that all animals deserve.

The stars of this video are the animals: Blossom, Isaac, Hugo, Cupid, Astrid, Kevin, Sam and Floyd. The heroes are their rescuers: Victorian Lamb Rescue, Brightside Farm Sanctuary, Freedom Hill Sanctuary, Little Oak Sanctuary, Here with Us Farm Sanctuary, Koala Rescue and Farm Animal Refuge.

We can all be a hero to animals by making conscious, kind choices.

And every kinder choice makes a difference. Whether you’re choosing a kinder, plant-based meal, adopting your new best friend from a shelter or rescue group, or pledging to never bet on racing cruelty, you’re helping to build a better world for everyone.
