This time last year, after decades of tireless investigations, media exposés, political pressure, and public compassion, the bill to end live sheep export passed the Senate – and history was made…

As we reflect on this milestone and all it represents, we wanted to say thank you, and share this video in honour of the incredible progress you helped make possible.

Securing an end date to the live sheep trade was an achievement built on years of unwavering advocacy, and on the dedication of people like you who never stopped believing a kinder future for sheep was possible.

With the May 2028 phase-out date now locked into law, and the recent Federal election result putting the reform on solid ground, that future is finally within reach. It was shaped by persistence, courage, and compassion – the collective efforts of thousands who stood up, spoke out, and took action on behalf of animals.

One step closer to a kinder world

Of course, our work isn’t done until the last sheep has left Australian shores. But today, we pause. We celebrate. And we thank you for standing with animals, and for helping build a future where kindness leads the way.

Will you help animals in times of disaster – and beyond?
