A mother pig’s most natural urge is to build a nest for her babies. In a factory farm, she can barely reach them from within the cage that confines her. Chickens born into the meat industry reach ‘slaughter weight’ from just five weeks old. Selective breeding created this explosive growth rate – and all the pain and suffering that goes along with it.

Something has gone terribly wrong with our relationship with animals. Systems of suffering that caring people would never have agreed to if they’d known the truth, have become the norm. But there is nothing normal about ‘life’ in a factory farm.

This Christmas – a peak time of animal suffering around the world – we’re bringing these animals out of the shadows.

Across TV screens and city streets nationwide, the harsh reality of life in factory farms will be unveiled, empowering people to see that their choices hold the key to creating a kinder world for these animals.

She’s just a few weeks old but thanks to the manipulation of breeding processes, her body is already too big for her tiny legs to hold her up. Millions of chickens like her die in sheds each year – before reaching slaughter weight – their deaths factored into the business model of factory farming.

Our high-impact public campaign will bring the suffering of birds like her out of the shadows. Can you help us reach as many people as possible with a message of kindness on her behalf? We would be so grateful for any gift you can make today.

These mockups show just how powerful our ads will look in situ. The truth about factory farming will reach millions of people nationally – on billboards, trams, buses and more…

You are their hope for a kinder world

Factory farming only exists because so many animals are being eaten. While refusing the most intensively farmed products is an important first step to eliminating some of the worst cruelties inflicted on animals, the truth is that such entrenched farming practices will only be dismantled if caring consumers also make the choice to eat less or no meat.

We can’t turn back the clock, but we can shape a kinder future.  As people become aware of the ethical issues relating to farming and killing animals for food, more and more are choosing plant-based alternatives that are readily available in most supermarkets. That’s why we created our Join the Evolution guide – it’s filled with recipes and tips for living more compassionately, and it’s yours for FREE today!
