Our farmed animal campaigns are back on TV.

From 12 April 2026, our television commercials will continue shining a light on the reality, and possibility, for farmed animals — changing hearts and minds nationwide.

Animals Australia is the only charity in the country consistently running high-profile campaigns to show the reality of factory farms, and the individuals who suffer inside their walls. Our award-winning TV ads don’t just raise awareness — they transform hearts and minds.

We regularly hear from supporters, both existing and new, who say seeing one of our TV commercials has changed how they see animals and the choices they make. That’s why we know the key to freeing animals from systems of suffering is to reach and awaken more people.

So, we are not only bringing back our thought-provoking ads — You didn’t know, did you? and Be their Hero to Prime-time TV from April — but hoping to keep them on air in the year ahead.

It is hard to convey the suffering of an individual living being who is denied everything that makes life worth living, especially when they're hidden far from the sight of caring consumers. Most people don't know what pigs endure in Australian factory farms, because we weren't meant to know – but this eye-opening campaign is finally bringing pigs out of the dark.

Farmed animals need your help

The truth is that factory farming mirrors an unconscious, inherited belief that farmed animals are less worthy of protection and kindness because they have been categorised as ‘food’, instead of ‘friend’. Yet it is kindness and compassion that reflect our true nature.

It’s never too late to evolve our thinking to align with what our hearts already know — that all animals want to experience life to the fullest, just like the companion animals with whom we share our homes and our hearts.
